Confidence & fun begins with knowing your gear. Most people find the owner's manual of little to no help, even confusing.
A 3 hour structured program designed for ease of comprehension blending important need-to-know camera functions with a few exciting photography techniques & basic lighting tips. You’ll leave excited with knowledge you can immediately put to use taking great pictures.
We start by learning the definition of f-stop, shutter speed, and ISO along with their interaction in easy to understand language reviewing sample images and shooting hands on. White balance and jpg vs raw files are covered, too.
This includes understanding Depth of Field (DOF), how to freeze or show motion and image grain due to ISO. Then we learn to shoot in manual mode using the camera's light meter and what the auto and semi auto (Av, Tv, Sv, etc) modes are for. If your camera has scene modes we'll cover that as well along with exposure compensation. We'll top it off with a fun, exciting and creative use of your lens(es) called lens perspective.
BRING:
Camera with charged battery, lens(es) and memory card with room for 100 pictures (empty card preferred). Any additional accessories you'd like education on (flash unit, tripod, etc). Notepad & pen or pencil. Good idea is beverages and snacks. We may be working both in and outdoors.
